Double-flow hard-hitting sealing rotary ball valve
Bi-directional Flow Hard-seated Trunnion-mounted Rotary Ball Valve
Most valves in pipeline systems are mainly used for medium cutoff and regulation. These valves account for a large proportion in the entire system, are used in large quantities, and require high durability and cost-effectiveness. They should not only be able to regulate and cutoff when the medium flows forward, but also prevent medium backflow during pressure difference changes or maintenance, i.e., they must have a bi-directional cutoff function.
At present, the main types of valves used in pipeline systems include gate valves, globe valves, butterfly valves and ball valves. Gate valves and globe valves have good bi-directional cutoff functions, good sealing performance and service life, and are both among the earliest valve types. However, globe valves are limited by their inherent gate-type structure, with large appearance and high operating torque, making it impossible to produce large-diameter ones; currently, only DN400 is available in the market.
Gate valves, on the other hand, have no regulation function, and there is a significant risk of gate plate falling off when used for flow regulation. Large-diameter gate valves also face great difficulties in manufacturing and transportation due to their huge size and height.
Compared with gate valves, butterfly valves have the characteristics of short opening and closing time, small operating torque, small installation space and light weight, so some working conditions use butterfly valves instead of gate valves. However, the sealing performance of butterfly valves has not fully met market requirements. Except for the lined butterfly valve with center line that can achieve bi-directional sealing within a certain pressure range, other structures are basically unidirectional flow. The center line structure cannot be popularized due to rubber limitations. After improvement, bi-directional butterfly valves with stainless steel structures have appeared in the market, but they are expensive and have limited service life, so they have not been widely used. Ball valves have been recognized by the market for their many advantages such as small flow resistance and long service life, but they are expensive. Currently, they are mainly used in important pipelines for media such as oil, natural gas and coal gas, and are rarely used in general pipeline networks, especially water systems.
In general pipeline systems where valves are widely used, is there a valve with superior performance, moderate price, bi-directional sealing and no diameter limitation?
The answer is yes. The bi-directional flow hard-seated rotary ball valve developed based on years of design experience is developed by combining the superior sealing performance of ball valves and the advantageous structural performance of butterfly valves. It not only has the practical advantages of bi-directional sealing, adjustability and long service life of ball valves, but also has the advantages of small size and light weight of butterfly valves. It is essentially an eccentric hemispherical valve with a butterfly structure! Its sealing principle combines the front-end sealing of fixed ball valves and the forced sealing of eccentric butterfly valves, thus realizing bi-directional cutoff under high and low pressure. On the two sealing surfaces of the sealing pair, advanced processes such as space plasma spraying, ether laser sputtering, and vacuum-protected cladding welding can be used to form gradient functional materials such as martensitic stainless steel, austenitic stainless steel, cemented carbide, cermet, and artificial diamond according to different hardness requirements. It can automatically align the center (self-adaptively), automatically compensate for wear beyond the stroke, and automatically apply an extremely high sealing specific pressure. The sealing pair has no friction when opening and closing instantly. When opening, the projection of the valve core continuously shrinks inward and retreats; when closing, the projection of the valve core continuously expands and advances. It has a short structure, small size, can manufacture large-diameter, extra-large-diameter and super-large-diameter valves, and has a series of advantages such as convenient transportation, installation, maintenance and reliable operation, making it a major technological revolution in the valve industry.
With its superior cost-effectiveness, this valve will definitely bring about a revolution in pipeline valves, making it a reality for ordinary pipeline networks, especially water system pipeline networks, to enjoy high-performance and high-quality products equivalent to those of high-end systems such as thermal power and gas at mid-to-low-end prices!
Main Applications
Where valves at the outlet end of water pumps, pipeline systems, recycled water systems, high-level water tanks, waterlogged sewage systems, and backflow prevention systems require bi-directional flow valves, this valve is widely used for opening, closing and regulating pipelines in industries and departments such as metallurgy, mining, petrochemical, chemical, electric power, environmental protection, and municipal engineering.
